Social engagement at DR. HAGER | Dentists
For several years now, we have been supporting various aid organizations in the area of social commitment at DR. HAGER | Zahnärzte has been supporting various aid organizations, such as German Doctors and Plan International. Since we, like German Doctors, are also active in the health sector, we are of course particularly pleased to be able to make a small contribution here by donating to a wide variety of projects.
Education is also the cornerstone for long-term stability and prosperity, especially in crisis regions. We are therefore also pleased to support the projects of Plan International. Interested? Then click and read about one of the projects
We support: German Doctors
Every day, we help our patients to restore their dental health. And we do this using all the modern techniques of dentistry. We support the organization German Doctors e.V. so that medicine can also bring its beneficial help to the poorer regions of the world.
The history of the organization
The Jesuit priest Bernhard Ehlen founded the Doctors for Developing Countries Committee in 1983. The German organization is based in Frankfurt am Main. The purpose of the association is the organization, mediation and care of medical, social and humanitarian aid for the sick and needy in areas of need in the Third World. The “Committee Doctors for Developing Countries” – renamed “German Doctors” in 2011 – has carried out over 3,800 missions by doctors on a voluntary and unpaid basis in developing countries over the course of its existence. To date, around 2,100 doctors have traveled to these countries, treated patients, vaccinated children and run medical stations.
Practice German Doctors
The committee has a total of nine projects spread across the Philippines, India, Bangladesh, Kenya and Nicaragua. The projects are each supported by two to eight doctors, with an additional dentist on the island of Mindanao (Philippines) and in Managua (Nicaragua).
We help by donating together with our patients. You are free to donate any amount you wish. We double all donations received from our patients from our own funds and thus, together with you, make a contribution to helping people and children in need.
